Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a
RSA Archer Developer to join a gas and electric company in Columbus. This is an 11-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.
Pay: $66.00 - $76.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Schedule: M-F between 7-5et with flexibility for releases after hours
Description:
Senior Developer will:
- Provide support, maintenance, and enhancement technical activities under general direction
- Direct junior/intermediate resources through the systems development life cycle
- Respond to varying business requirements
- Perform many assigned technical tasks including study, analysis, design, programming, and product installation
- Have product, technology, or industry-related specialized skills, and regularly work with proposals, requirements, design, implementation and production Projects/engagements
- Interface with Customers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and IT Infrastructure as necessary in regards to Application availability and project related information
- Participate in and support all Service Processes and ensures adherence to technical standards
- Provide analytical ability and creativity in developing and implementing solution deliverables for large and medium size projects
- Provide technical advice to Project Managers and Team Leads as well as offer technical direction to team members including Service Providers, Approved Subcontractors, or Customer personnel
- Provide proactive monitoring, alerting, reporting, testing, and communication with the Team Lead(s) and Project Managers
- Participate in the translation of the Customer’s business requirements to a specific system, Application, or process design (this may include working as a team member with Customer personnel, Solution Architects and/or Business Analysts to identify functional and non-functional requirements and subsequently work on the identification, justification and design of the solution for the Customer)
- Participate in multiple design activities from requirements analysis to systems, application and/or process design specification
- Lead efforts in detection and remedy of defects/issues identified during testing
- Ensure application and security system documentation and technical training materials are developed and maintained
Junior/Intermediate Developer will:
- Perform a technical role in support of the solution construction, implementation, and system integration in a technology/industry specialty
- Assist in the delivery of high quality solutions to the Customer in response to specific business requirements
- Participate in and support all Service Processes and ensures adherence to the Customer’s technical standards
- Interface with Customers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and IT Infrastructure as necessary regarding application availability and project related information
- Perform coding, unit testing, and debugging of Application programs
- Perform system and integration testing of Application programs
- Perform assigned technical tasks including study, analysis, programming, and product installation
- Use tools to analyze and implement portions of a solution for Customer
- Provide post implementation functional and technical support on application enhancements or upgrades Identify and communicate emergency system issues
- Provide analytical support necessary to develop and implement solutions for small to medium size projects or components/elements of larger projects
- Ensure Application and security system documentation is developed and maintained and assist with the creation and maintenance of technical training materials
Qualifications:
Day-to-day responsibilities look like:
This role will support client's Archer Agile Product Line, which includes both Archer SaaS and Archer OnPrem environments supporting a broad range of Governance, Risk, and Compliance functions across the enterprise. Client’s Archer platforms are positioned as the enterprise Integrated Risk Management platform for standardized governance, risk, and compliance activities, with use cases spanning compliance, issues and risks, policy management, NERC CIP, NERC 693, TSA compliance, centralized compliance, third-party risk management, supply chain risk, IT/OT risk, business continuity, and related enterprise risk capabilities.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting design, build, configuration, testing, release readiness, and ongoing enhancements across Archer SaaS and OnPrem. The developer will work closely with Product Owner, Archer developers, business stakeholders, GRC super users, and Archer Professional Services resources to translate business requirements into scalable Archer solutions.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Configure and enhance Archer applications, questionnaires, workflows, dashboards, reports, notifications, data-driven events, and access controls.
- Develop and maintain API connections with ServiceNow, Workday, Qualys, MuleSoft, JavaScript, Ariba, etc.
- Support Agile sprint delivery, including requirements refinement, configuration, unit testing, UAT support, defect resolution, release planning, and production deployment support.
- Partner with stakeholders and super users to understand GRC processes and convert them into sustainable Archer workflows.
- Support both new use case implementation and ongoing enhancement requests across SaaS and OnPrem environments.
- Help reduce manual workarounds by building automation, reporting, evidence tracking, issue management, and scalable compliance capabilities.
- Support platform maturity efforts, including standardization, documentation, knowledge transfer, and reduction of single points of failure.
Technologies or systems will this contingent worker be utilizing:
- The SME will primarily utilize Archer SaaS and Archer OnPrem environments. Integrations include ServiceNow, Workday, MuleSoft, Qualys, JavaScript.
Skills are you looking for in the ideal candidate:
- The ideal candidate has hands-on Archer administration and development/configuration experience, strong GRC process knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile product team supporting multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- This person should be comfortable working in both strategic and tactical spaces, from designing scalable solutions to troubleshooting configuration issues and supporting releases.
Preferred:
- Hands-on Archer development/configuration experience
- Experience configuring Archer applications, questionnaires, workflows, fields, layouts, calculations, notifications, reports, dashboards, access roles, and data-driven events.
- Ability to support both new use case builds and enhancements to existing Archer applications.
- Integration and data experience
- Experience building and maintaining Archer data feeds, APIs, system integrations, data imports/exports, bulk updates, reporting, or workflow automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot data quality, mapping, and reporting issues.
- Agile delivery and stakeholder partnership
- Experience working in Agile teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, user story development, testing, UAT support, defect resolution, and release readiness.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with Product Owners, developers, super users, business stakeholders, and vendor partners.
Nice to Have:
Experience with both Archer SaaS and Archer OnPrem
- Client has both environments and is supporting enterprise-wide use cases across SaaS and OnPrem. Internal planning materials specifically reference dedicated focus on SaaS and OnPrem development capabilities
Regulated industry or utility experience
- Experience supporting risk, compliance, or cybersecurity capabilities in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with frameworks or regulatory areas such as NIST CSF, NERC CIP, NERC 693, TSA, SOX, third-party risk, or enterprise compliance.
GRC domain knowledge
- Working knowledge of governance, risk, compliance, issue management, policy management, third-party risk, cybersecurity risk, regulatory compliance, or audit processes.
- Ability to understand business requirements from compliance and risk stakeholders and translate them into practical Archer design.

Senior level:
7+ years' experience in role with:
- Archer IRM platform Experience, knowledge, and exposure to various project delivery methodologies (Iterative, Agile, Professional Scrum)
- Strong process orientation and analytical/problem solving skills including the ability to interpret and clarify technical issues
- Demonstrated facilitation skills, written and verbal communications skills, organizational skills, and the ability to deliver clear, concise presentations
- Demonstrated team spirit with strong adaptability, openness to feedback, and the ability to work cooperatively and creatively across an organization
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

- Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented with ability to communicate with both business personnel and technical experts
Utility background preferred but not required Senior level:
- ITIL v3 or v4 a plus Senior level:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent discipline or equivalent work experience
- 40 hours of ongoing professional training per year with at least 10 hours related to this role
