The Position
The City of Maple Grove is seeking a dedicated mechanic to join our team! In this role, you will help serve our community by performing maintenance, repairs, and replacements on all city equipment. As our mechanic, you will be a part of the central equipment division in our Public Works Department; you will get to work with a team of dedicated mechanics and work inside our outstanding mechanics bay. ***Mechanics are represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE)- Local 49 union. Qualified members of the Maple Grove Local 49 Bargaining Unit will be considered for this position prior to any outside candidates being considered.

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; kneeling, climbing, bending and stooping; moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; must be able to operate assigned vehicles.
