Essential Functions includes but are not limited to:
- Serve as initial contact point for UKG issues to include assisting employees with employee portal tasks
- Implement new UKG modules and maintain/troubleshoot module specific issues
- Provide UKG end-user support; develop and maintain associated procedures, guidelines and documentation
- Train end users on functionality, processes and reporting to include preparing training materials, guides, and documentation
- Design and build workflows, forms and reports in UKG
- Ensure workflows are operating as expected
- Remain current on UKG system updates
- Update employee records in UKG as requested
- Produce initial and replacement employee badges
- Distribute, conduct, collect, and process all employment background checks and paperwork on all candidates
- Attend work regularly prepared to perform the functions of the position
Non-Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Perform other job-related tasks as identified by HR Manager and Director
- Provide backup to the Receptionist and HR Assistant
- Provide backup to New Employee Orientation presentations
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in computer science or related field, or two plus years related HR experience required. Knowledge of HRMS systems, specifically UKG, is a plus
- HR support experience to include life cycle of employee (recruitment to retirement)
- Possess well-developed customer service skills and excellent phone etiquette.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced computer literacy with specific proficiency in Excel and Word applications and the ability to learn other software applications as needed
- Must be able to complete work within given deadlines
- Must be able to work in face paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and technical support skills
- Ability to present to a group and consult effectively one-on-one
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the position
- Clean, neat and professional appearance
- Collaborate with others, recognize contributions of other team members, resolve conflicts in a professional manner, and apply constructive feedback for continued professional development
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Normal working conditions for this position are typical of an office environment, including prolonged periods working at computer monitor. Routine working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with a 30-minute meal break. Occasional work outside routine hours.
The physical requirements of the position include:
- Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to manipulate paper and operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- Sitting for prolonged periods, standing, walking, stool stepping and bending.
- Carrying and lifting 10 lbs.
- Visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person and by telephone.
This is an hourly, full-time position working the day shift Monday through Friday, including overtime as required. ACT provides a competitive salary and benefit package, including retirement plan.
