Our client, a leader in commercial facility management, is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Senior Facilities Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting operational excellence and safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Senior Facilities Technician
Location:Philadelphia, PA
Pay Range: $32 to $35 per hour
What's the Job?
- Perform routine inspections of utility equipment, mechanical rooms, and monitor operational parameters via Building Automation Systems (BAS) and physical gauges
- Execute preventative maintenance on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, compressors, and control valves according to established schedules
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system failures; perform repairs to restore optimal system performance
- Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and contractors to optimize equipment operation and environmental controls
- Conduct chemical testing and water treatment for boiler, cooling tower, and closed-loop systems following safety and environmental standards
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED
- Philadelphia Class A Boiler Operator License (mandatory)
- EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in operating and maintaining large-scale utility systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
