In this dynamic role, you'll coordinate emergency management programs, oversee disaster preparedness initiatives, lead training and community outreach, support Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations, and collaborate with local, regional, and state partners to ensure the City is ready to respond to any incident. Salary Range: $105,552.00 - $128,849.00 Annually + Excellent Benefits

Schedule: 4/10 work schedule
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training:
- Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Emergency Management, Public Health, Public Administration, Public Safety, Business Administration or a related field.
Experience:
- Three years of increasingly responsible professional analytical and administrative support experience.

Experience performing emergency preparedness activities is desirable.
License or Certificate:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver license.

Completion of the following Incident Command System (ICS) courses within six months of employment: ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, IS-700, IS-800.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and service-oriented professional who is passionate about emergency preparedness and public safety. They are a proactive self-starter with strong project management skills and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities while building positive relationships with employees, volunteers, partner agencies, and the community.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Health, Public Administration, Public Safety, Business Administration, or a closely related field (preferred).

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and initiatives simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.

Experience supervising or coordinating volunteers.

Experience in emergency management, public safety, or a related field is highly desirable.

Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or supporting emergency response operations is a plus.

Experience developing or coordinating community disaster preparedness programs, or the ability and enthusiasm to quickly learn these responsibilities.

The ability to remain calm under pressure, think critically during emergencies, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays as needed.
