Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor / Maintenance Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our members, visitors and staff.
Shift 2: Sat: 12 pm - 5 pm; Sun: 12 pm - 6 pm
What you’ll do
- Clean designated areas, including church sanctuary, Family Life Center, kitchens, gymnasium, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Empty trash and recycling; replace liners
- Set up and break down rooms for events
- Monitor building for cleanliness and safety
- Lock/unlock and secure facility as assigned
- Perform minor repairs as needed
- Maintain grounds, including but not limited to, maintaining parking areas, garbage cans and walkways
- Perform other tasks as needed
Basic qualifications
- Janitorial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Be self-motivated, reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs
- Must be available to work weekends
