JOB SUMMARY:
Raly Transport is a family-owned food-grade hauling business with offices in Earlville, IA, Manly, IA and Rosemount, MN. We are seeking an experienced, highly organized general manager/director of operations to oversee the day-to-day activities of our company. This role is responsible for coordinating fleet maintenance, customer & vendor relationships, safety training, equipment tracking, dispatching and driver management. Candidates must understand trucking at a high level and be able to communicate effectively with drivers, vendors and customers. This position will lead a team of 35 CDL drivers in conjunction with the Manly Terminal Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain oversight of all company-owned and leased assets
- Coordinate vendor relationships and repair activity, including review and payment of invoices.
- Manage customer relationships including invoicing for services rendered.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Provide routing and dispatch for drivers.
- Lead driver onboarding, safety compliance and payroll administration
- Coordinate and lead safety meetings and reinforce a culture of safety
- Maintain accurate administrative records
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational follow-through
- Experience with TMS systems and dispatching required
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online payroll and invoicing preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years transportation/logistics management or fleet operations experience
- Valid driver’s license required, CDL Class A License preferred
- Strong communication, organizational and team-building skills
- Dependable, safety-minded, and capable of working independently
SALARY & BENEFITS:
- Pay is commensurate with experience - $85,000-$125,000
