Position Overview
Ceres Renewables is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper / Accounting professional to support the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial administration. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable, assisting with payroll and expense records, performing reconciliations, and preparing routine accounting reports.
Because we are a growing company with a collaborative and hands-on work environment, this position will also support a portion of the company’s general administrative work. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, comfortable handling confidential information, and willing to assist across functions when needed.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records and supporting documentation.
· Record and categorize financial transactions in the company’s accounting system.
· Support accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, documentation, and payment preparation.
· Support accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
· Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
· Assist with payroll records, employee reimbursements, benefit-related accounting records, and other routine payroll support.
· Maintain vendor and customer accounting records, including W-9s and other required documentation.
· Prepare routine financial and management reports and provide supporting schedules to management, CPA, tax advisors, or auditors as requested.
· Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities and maintain organized records for tax and audit purposes.
· Help maintain appropriate internal controls, approval records, and accounting documentation.
· Support selected administrative functions, including document organization, office records, vendor coordination, purchasing support, filing, and other general administrative tasks as assigned.
· Assist management with special projects and other accounting or administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications
· Previous bookkeeping, accounting assistant, staff accounting, or similar experience is preferred.
· Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.
· Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is strongly preferred.
· Strong numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
· Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise sound judgment.
· Mandarin Chinese proficiency is required.
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant practical experience will also be considered.
