Dishwasher/Food Prep Team Member

Position Summary
The Dishwasher/Food Prep Team Member is responsible for supporting kitchen and deli operations through deli food preparation, order assembly, stocking, dish sanitation, and maintaining food quality standards. This role plays an important part in delivering fresh, accurate, and high-quality food products while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced food service environment while following company procedures and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations

Prepare deli food items according to company recipes, procedures, and quality standards.

Support daily kitchen operations and assist with kitchen tasks as needed.

Prepare deli food orders accurately and efficiently.

Stock and replenish food products, ingredients, and operational supplies throughout the shift.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or product concerns to management.

Rotate food products and ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods to maintain freshness and reduce waste.

Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

Assist with kitchen setup and closing procedures as assigned.
Compliance Vendor Quality Assurance

Adhere to all health, food safety, and sanitation regulations.

Ensure food preparation and handling procedures consistently meet company and regulatory standards.

Maintain quality control standards to ensure all food products meet customer expectations.

Monitor food and ingredient quality from vendors and report concerns or inconsistencies to management.

Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain awareness of kitchen hazards.
Work Area Management

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and deli preparation area.

Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of workstations, prep areas, dishes, and kitchen equipment.

Ensure supplies, ingredients, and operational tools are properly stocked and organized.

Assist with end-of-shift cleaning, organization, and kitchen reset procedures.
Requirements

Previous food preparation, deli, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume food service environment.

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations preferred.

Ability to follow recipes, preparation procedures, and operational instructions accurately.

Strong time management and teamwork skills.

Ability to multitask while maintaining food quality and service standards.

Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and remain physically active throughout scheduled shifts.

Ability to lift and carry food products, supplies, and kitchen equipment as needed.
Pay Range: $11.00-16.00/hour depending on shift and experience
