American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit position requiring an active MI RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Work in a 54-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit that serves as the facility's main cardiac monitoring unit
-
Patient population includes heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke requiring cardiac monitoring, cardiac arrhythmias, and chest pain, with occasional overflow medical patients

Patients are monitored via remote telemetry room and on-unit monitoring, including cardiac drips
-
Typical patient ratios are 1:5-6, which may increase up to 1:7 during call-ins

Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM

Every other weekend required
-
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

No on-call requirements

Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed but will be accommodated when possible

Charting completed in Cerner PowerChart

Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume and census

Active or pending Michigan RN license required
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required, 1-2 years preferred

Cerner charting experience required
-
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required

Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips required
-
Comfort working with patient ratios up to 1:7 required

Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Candidates must not have worked for the health system as a permanent staff member within the past 3 years

Provide telemetry nursing care for a high-acuity cardiac patient population, including monitoring, drip management, and emergency response
-
Support includes ongoing onboarding of new travelers to help manage unit workload during call-ins

Royal blue scrubs required

Maximum RTO is 10 days, and if RTO falls during the holidays, must be willing to work 1 of the 3 designated holidays
