Prescott Valley Eye Care is looking for an experienced Optician or Optometric Technician to join our team. If you take pride in your craft, genuinely connect with patients, and can hold your own in a fast-moving, technology-forward practice, we want to meet you!
Key Responsibilities
- Help patients with frame selections, measurements, and dispensing of glasses and contact lenses, including contact lens training
- Perform glasses verification and minor frame repairs
- Work efficiently within our EHR system and maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with pretesting and special testing, including Autorefractor/K, auto-lensometry, FDT fields, iCARE tonometry, OPTOS, Medmont topography, Zeiss OCT, and Zeiss HFA3 visual fields
- Enter patient acuities and chief complaints accurately
- Support the optometric tech and clinical team to keep the day running smoothly
- Participate in light daily cleaning duties alongside all team members
Who You Are
- A minimum of one year of experience in the optical field
- Comfortable working independently and confident with computers and modern technology
- Knowledge of VSP and/or Medicare billing is a strong asset
- Personable, dependable, and self-motivated, with a genuine commitment to exceptional patient care
- Honest, hardworking, and calm in a busy clinical environment
- You hold yourself to a high standard of quality and ethics
- Has reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a pre-hire background check and drug screening
