Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. (RSS) is seeking compassionate and dependable Residence Counselors to join our residential team. We are currently hiring for both full-time overnight and full-time evening positions. As a Residence Counselor, you will provide direct support to residents while promoting independence, recovery, and a safe, supportive living environment.
Available Shifts
Overnight – Full-Time
Pay: $19.51 per hour
- Wednesday: 10:00 p.m. – Thursday 8:00 a.m.
- Thursday: 10:00 p.m. – Friday 8:00 a.m.
- Friday: 10:00 p.m. – Saturday 8:00 a.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 p.m. – Sunday 8:00 a.m.
Evening – Full-Time
Pay: $18.32 per hour
- Schedule to be determined.
Responsibilities
The Residence Counselor is responsible for providing person-centered care and support, including:
- Coordinating resident care and daily support services.
- Supervising and documenting medication administration.
- Providing restorative services in accordance with Medicaid billing guidelines.
- Completing daily progress notes and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Assisting with individualized service planning and goal development.
- Teaching activities of daily living (ADL) and independent living skills.
- Preparing meals and assisting with daily household routines.
- Conducting room checks and helping maintain a safe, clean residence.
- Performing light house maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
- Providing advocacy, supportive counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Collaborating with the treatment team to support resident success.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in residential services, behavioral health or human services is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively in a residential setting.
