POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the overall direction of hospice clinical services. Maintains the quality of patient care in accordance with the Agency’s objectives and policies, through planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the hospice services provided.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates and oversees all direct and indirect patient services provided by clinical organization personnel.
- Provide supervision and guidance to clinical staff to ensure the quality of services and maintenance of standards.
- Perform chart audits.
- Gather data for QAPI and participates in QAPI activities.
- Apprise clinical staff performance annually, provides the teaching and counseling necessary to enhance the delivery of services and the professional development of nursing and health aide staff.
- Identify and evaluate patient needs and appropriateness for hospice by reviewing the initial intake screening form before assignment of direct care staff.
- Oversees the maintenance of patient clinical records and assures compliance with local, state, and federal laws as well as CHAP standards of care.
- Assist with the orientation of new staff.
- See patients in the home setting as needed.
- Participate in audits, IDG meetings & QAPI.
- Maintains adequate and appropriate Medical Supplies.
- Responsible for orientation of new personnel as well as in-services for current staff.
- Responsible for ensuring Medicare, State, and CHAP regulations are followed by all clinical staff.
- Assume responsibility for self-development by continually striving to improve his/her Nursing/Management practice through formal education, attendance at workshops and conferences, active participation in professional and related organizational meetings, and/or individual research and reading.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
