- Support meal preparation by following recipes, portioning ingredients, and preparing simple dishes under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, storage spaces, and dining areas to promote a hygienic environment.
- Handle food items safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Support catering and special event setups by organizing supplies and assisting with serving when needed.
- Collaborate with culinary team members to ensure timely meal service and uphold quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation are advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
