Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Tennesee. This specialized role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced nursing professionals to provide expert care during cardiac catheterization procedures and other interventional radiology interventions within a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiovascular nursing, critical care, and advanced procedural support, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and safety throughout complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This position emphasizes mobility, flexibility, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angiography, and other interventional procedures within the Cath Lab.
- Assist physicians during complex procedures such as cardiac catheterization, device implantations, and electrophysiology studies with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, and hemodynamic parameters continuously, responding promptly to any changes in patient condition.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes, ensuring informed consent, and maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Manage pre- and post-procedure care including medication administration, IV infusions, sedation monitoring, and recovery assessments.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure seamless procedural workflows.
- Ensure strict infection control protocols are followed at all times, utilizing aseptic techniques during invasive procedures.
- Assist with specialized interventions such as botulinum toxin treatment or ophthalmology-related procedures when applicable.
- Support quality improvement initiatives by adhering to NCQA standards and participating in ongoing training related to trauma medicine, infectious disease care, or critical care practices.
Requirements
- AHA BLS certification
- AHA ACLS certification
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
- Previous charge experience
- Experience working in Diagnostic or Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Labs
- Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic
- Travel experience
- Valid license in-hand prior to start date
- Ability to complete drug testing within 12-14 calendar days prior to start
- Willingness to undergo fit testing with no facial hair obstructing the mask seal
- No prior engagements during the 12-14 day pre-start window
- Commitment to obtaining required drug tests in specified timeframe
- For international travelers, BSN required
- Local residence must be more than 100 miles from hospital; candidates within 100 miles are not accepted
- No first-time travelers

Pay: $2,008.84 - $2,588.20 per week
