Position Summary
The Dealership Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and assigning repair orders to service technicians in a timely and efficient manner. This role ensures balanced workflow, maximizes technician productivity, and supports high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign repair orders (ROs) to technicians based on skill level, availability, and workload
- Monitor shop capacity and workflow to ensure efficient operations
- Prioritize jobs based on appointment times, promised delivery times, and service urgency
- Communicate with Service Advisors regarding job status and completion times
- Track technician productivity and flag time efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Dealer Management System (DMS)
- Ensure all repair orders are properly closed and submitted
- Support shop foreman and Service Manager with daily scheduling
- Assist in coordinating warranty, internal, and customer-pay work
- Maintain organized and safe shop operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership service department preferred
- Strong understanding of repair order flow and dealership operations
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,500.00 - $76,500.00 per year
