David Wilson’s South Coast Toyota is looking for an experienced Used Car / Reconditioning Automotive Technician to join our team.
We have a high-volume used vehicle operation and are looking for a productive technician who takes pride in quality work and wants consistent work, strong earning potential, and long-term stability.
If you can inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles efficiently and correctly, we want to talk to you.
Compensation
- $50,000–$100,000+ annual earning potential
- Starting pay based on experience, skill level, and qualifications
- Experienced, high-producing technicians have the opportunity to earn over $100,000 annually
- Consistent used vehicle reconditioning work and strong shop volume
Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, productivity, and hours produced.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect and recondition used vehicles for retail sale
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, suspension, brake, steering, and drivability concerns
- Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs efficiently and accurately
- Identify needed repairs during used vehicle inspections
- Complete repairs to dealership quality and safety standards
- Clearly document inspection findings, repairs, and recommendations
- Work on Toyota vehicles as well as a variety of other makes and models
- Work closely with our Used Car, Parts, and Service teams to keep vehicles moving through the reconditioning process
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of professional automotive technician experience preferred
- Dealership or high-volume automotive repair experience preferred
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work on multiple makes and models
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
