We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our culinary team. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grilled items according to menu specifications and customer preferences.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding areas.
- Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring consistency in presentation.
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Grill Cook or similar role within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, particularly in fine dining settings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
