**Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the store manager and contributing to the success of our store. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction. **Duties:** - Assist the store manager in the overall management of the store, including customer service, sales, and marketing efforts. - Manage and maintain a high level of product knowledge, ensuring customers receive accurate information about products. - Conduct inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise. - Coordinate and execute store displays and promotions, adhering to visual merchandising standards. - Process transactions and manage cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) operations. - Assist in the hiring and training of new employees, including employee orientation and ongoing support. - Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies. - Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses, as well as perform budgeting and financial management tasks. - Participate in market research and analysis to inform buying decisions. - Demonstrate a commitment to multilingual communication, providing exceptional customer service to a diverse clientele. - Perform tasks as required, including but not limited to, opening and closing the store, and maintaining store appearance and cleanliness. **Qualifications:** - Proven experience in a retail environment, with a focus on store management and customer service. - Strong understanding of store operations, including inventory control, cash handling, and sales. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues effectively. - Proficiency in using a point-of-sale (POS) system and basic math skills. - Ability to speak multiple languages, with a preference for bilingual or multilingual candidates. - Experience with budgeting and financial management. - Familiarity with employee orientation processes. - A passion for retail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
