Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate early morning prep/baker/fryer to join our team. You will be responsible for completing the prep work for the day, baking, pulling stock, cooking on a fryer, and providing customer service in front of house at a busy bakery.
Responsibilities:
- Your work hours begin at 4:45am most mornings and end around 10am. This position is for 5 days a week Tuesday-Saturday. You will complete prep work for the bakery, baking, cooking on the fryer, and providing customer service when the bakery opens for business, when needed. There may be opportunities for more hours on occasion when other shifts are needed to be filled.
-Must be available to work on holiday’s (we are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day).
- You must be dependable as your punctuality affects the prepardeness of the bakery for the day. You must be comfortable with early mornings and arriving while it’s still dark outside.
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, following recipes and quality standards
- You must be comfortable using a fryer (prior fryer experience not needed - will train the right person).
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure optimal results
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries and fulfilling customer orders
- Package and present baked goods in an appealing manner
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen is REQUIRED. Applicants that do not meet this criteria will not be contacted for an interview. Please make sure your resume is updated to reflect at least 1 year of commercial kitchen experience.
- An early morning person! Your shift will start around 4:45am during the week.
- Punctuality/dependability is vital as being late puts all bakery operations behind. Must not sleep through alarms in the morning to wake up!
- Doesn't mind being alone in the bakery for opening for a short amount of time.
- Proven experience as a prep/baker or similar role but I will train the right person.
- You must be comfortable using a fryer (prior fryer experience not needed - will train the right person).
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and methods
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a kitchen environment
- Basic knife skills for ingredient preparation
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required

Pay range is $15- $17/ hour and includes tip sharing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
