Mariposa Market is hiring clerks for these departments:
Chill & Frozen, Deli, Kitchen or Cashier
We are looking for serious, hard working, team players.
***MUST BE AVAILABLE EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS***
*THIS IS A PHYSICAL JOB - OFTEN STANDING FOR LONG PERIODS*
the ideal candidate will:
- show up to work on time, ready to work.
- be able to handle meat, poultry, seafood, dairy, eggs and frozen items.
- assist with placing orders and tracking inventory.
- receive deliveries and ensure products are on invoice correctly.
- prepare, package and stock food, deli items, meat, poultry, seafood and dairy products.
- ensures proper prepping, stocking, and rotating of products.
- follows health department policies and standards.
- cleans all appropriate areas in the department.
- give excellent customer service - you will be giving customer service!
- team player - must work well in a team and independently.
- fills in for peers and supervisors when necessary.
- listens to customer concerns and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations.
- maintain constant communication with supervisor
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- be able to bend, squat, reach, stoop, lift, climb ladders and work at a reasonable pace.
- must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- must be able to work in cold environments such as walk-in refrigerator and freezer.
- already have, or be willing to take food handler certification course (we provide).
- cashiers - money handling, POS/computer skills.
