We are an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital looking to hire a groomer to join our talented, highly motivated and knowledgeable care staff. We are a highly family oriented practice and take a pet centered approach to providing the best care for our four-legged friends. We are a full service hospital offering preventative care, surgery, dental cleanings, emergency care, pet training, boarding and grooming. Our Cat Friendly Practice certification demonstrates our commitment to providing that special touch for our feline friends. This is a part-time position with variable hours. Duties:
- Groom pets according to specific breed standards or customer preferences using knowledge of different dog breeds and their grooming requirements.
- Ability to complete prep work including brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, anal gland expressions, and bathing/drying pets properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions as well as booking appointments and answering phone calls if needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the pets during the grooming process as well as the ability to handle pets with care and compassion.
-Be able to lift >50lbs onto the grooming table and possibly into the tub
-Willingness to work with dogs as well as cats that are unable to be groomed at other salons due to either behavioral or health issues - with sedation if needed.
