The Curriculum Coordinator provides dedicated instructional and operational leadership for LEAPs, SACC, and WeeCare programs across all participating sites to ensure high-quality academic tutoring, designing engaging enrichment curricula, and supervision to the instructional staff.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned as needed.
General Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Develop and implement comprehensive monthly lesson plans based on designated themes ensuring all activities align with LEAPs instructional alignment.

Collaborate with the Program Director and Operations Supervisor to design, organize, and execute a comprehensive calendar of activities for SACC, LEAPs, and WeeCare; ensuring all summer and school-year programming aligns with grant fulfillment requirements and student enrichment goals.

Design, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate, engaging enrichment curricula and lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of LEAPs, SACC, and WeeCare participants.

Ensure tutoring and instructional activities align with district or state educational standards to support student academic growth.

Maintain a centralized digital library of curriculum resources and lesson plans (via shared drives) to ensure all Site Directors have immediate access to high-quality materials.

Lead the training of the instructional team on curriculum delivery, and academic reporting requirements.

Serve as the instructional subject matter expert for Site Directors and LEAPs tutors, providing guidance on curriculum adaptations and student engagement strategies while coordinating with the Operations Supervisor to ensure alignment with general site management and personnel protocols.

Ensure all LEAPs-funded activities meet specific grant guidelines, including documentation of tutoring hours and student progress tracking.

Analyze student outcomes and data trends to proactively adjust academic tutoring, attendance initiatives, or enrichment activities to meet grant benchmarks and student needs.

Identify and standardize educational materials and enrichment supplies across all sites; collaborate with the Operations Supervisor to facilitate the formal purchasing process, ensuring all sites are fully equipped while maintaining budget alignment.

Assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment across all sites, stepping in to support daily operations during peak times or staff shortages.

Coordinate the systematic collection and entry of LEAPs data within the UT SWORPS database, ensuring the accuracy of attendance, academic progress, and activity logs for final review and certification by the Program Director.

Conduct regular internal audits of site-level data to ensure all records align with LEAPs grant requirements and state standards.

Partner with the Program Director to design and spearhead community and family engagement events, in order to satisfy grant-related parental involvement requirements.

Direct the promotion and publicity of program initiatives, including the development of marketing materials and participant communications, while ensuring all student media releases and parent permissions are secured and documented.

Serve as a resource for staff in navigating suspected child abuse or neglect, assisting with the administrative coordination of reports to proper authorities.

May operate a motor vehicle to conduct various work activities

Successful completion of Criminal Justice fingerprint/background process and drug screen

Associate’s Degree in related fields, such as business, education, childcare (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).

Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the job

Evidence of strong customer service and communication skills

Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail

Abilities/Physical Requirements

Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for active light work in an office setting. Must be physically capable to meet job expectations including, but not limited to playing with children, end of day cleaning duties and execution of activities.
