What You'll DoClinical Excellence
- Assist the doctor during a variety of general and restorative procedures using advanced four-handed dentistry.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms to the highest clinical standards.
- Take diagnostic radiographs and intraoral images.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and assist with impressions as permitted by Arizona regulations.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic patient records.
- Ensure proper instrument sterilization and OSHA compliance.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience through professionalism, efficiency, and compassionate care.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support the dental assisting team while fostering a positive, accountable culture.
- Mentor and onboard new dental assistants to ensure clinical consistency and confidence.
- Serve as the primary clinical resource for back-office team members.
- Monitor clinical workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient care.
- Partner with doctors and office leadership to implement best practices and maintain clinical excellence.
- Oversee inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure the clinical team has everything needed to succeed.
- Help maintain high standards for infection control, organization, and daily operations.
- Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, accountability, and a positive attitude.
What We're Looking For
This position is best suited for an experienced Dental Assistant who is ready to lead a team—not someone looking for an entry-level opportunity.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent dental assisting experience in a general dentistry practice.
- Previous Lead Dental Assistant, Clinical Coordinator, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Active Arizona Dental Assistant credentials and certifications as required by state law.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of restorative, crown and bridge, implant, and general dentistry procedures.
- Experience training or mentoring other dental assistants.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to confidently prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced practice.
- Outstanding communication skills with both patients and teammates.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
