Job Description: This is a hands on, team leading support to the Operations Director, serving as a trusted right-hand resource for day to day operation priorities and tasks.
Tasks:
- Provide direct, hands-on support to the Operations Director, serving as a trusted right-hand resource for day-to-day operational priorities and tasks
- Serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day operational activities
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff and supervisors—overseeing scheduling, performance management, and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Accounting, Shipping & Receiving, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze operational data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular reports for senior leadership.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges and process bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with Branch & Department Managers to oversee warehouse upkeep, repairs and safety compliance for daily and emergency operations.
- Monitor day to day inquiries from internal departments
- Develop, schedule, and oversee preventative and corrective equipment & facility maintenance programs, ensuring inspections and servicing are completed on required timelines (monthly, semi-annual, annual, or as needed) to maintain operational readiness, safety, and asset longevity.
Qualifications:
- Five+ years of leadership, management or leading a team of employees across multiple locations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with team members, leadership and customers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP, warehouse management systems and Net Suite.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Mechanically inclined, able to troubleshoot basic heavy machinery, equipment, or mechanical problems and perform or oversee basic equipment maintenance is a plus but not required.
- Must be self-motivated, work independently with minimal oversight to prioritize and complete daily tasks and projects.
- Ability to be proactive and a problem solver for daily challenges.
Other:
The position is for 40 hours per week. Pay is commensurate with abilities.
