Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced, results-driven Experienced Sign Sales Representative with a proven track record in selling exterior and interior signage. The ideal candidate thrives on building and maintaining long-term relationships, excels at managing repeat business, and has specific experience serving franchise accounts and property management portfolios. You will drive revenue growth through consultative selling, account management, and new business development on a national scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities for custom exterior signs (e.g., monument, pylon, channel letters, LED-lit) and interior signs (e.g., lobby displays, directional/wayfinding, ADA-compliant, wall graphics, window graphics).
- Manage and grow a portfolio of repeat customers, ensuring ongoing projects and brand refresh opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for franchise customers and property management companies, coordinating multi-location rollouts, national programs, and compliance with brand standards.
- Consult with local clients on signage needs, and propose tailored solutions that align with their branding, budget, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and presentations; negotiate terms and close deals to meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with our design, production, permitting, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution and high client satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed records in CRM (leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline).
- Stay current on signage industry trends, materials, technologies (e.g., LED, digital signage), and competitor offerings to position Effective Sign Works as the preferred nationwide partner.
- Travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, trade shows, or franchise conventions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of proven sales experience in the signage industry, with a strong focus on exterior and interior custom signs.
- Demonstrated success managing repeat business and generating consistent revenue from existing accounts.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand client needs and translate them into effective signage solutions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a B2B environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a nationwide sales role.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel nationwide as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Established network of contacts in franchising, property management, retail, hospitality, or commercial real estate.
- Knowledge of sign permitting processes, zoning regulations, and national installation logistics.
- Experience with large-scale or multi-location signage programs.
