Capital District Beginnings is an Educational Agency providing services for pre-school children with special needs through collaborative early childhood programs in the Capital District. Named a Best Workplace of the Capital Region by the Times Union since 2021 and celebrating over 40 years of supporting children with disabilities in their natural learning environments, we are looking to hire a: New York State Certified Itinerant Special Education Teacher to provide Part Time special instruction services.
In this position the Educator will be working within a student’s home with who may have multiple developmental disabilities or medical needs. These students may have high levels of physical, adaptive, developmental and health needs which prohibit them from attending school based programs.
You will be responsible for communicating with other service providers, as needed, creating and adapting instructional materials to meet the specialized learning needs of each student and implementation of services according to each student’s IEP. You will need proficiency in writing and lessons that take into account each student’s sensory, communication, cognitive and social-emotional needs as they relate to their unique life circumstance.
The contact hours per week are as follows beginning in the fall. We are open to applicants interested in providing all and/or some of the below services:
- Lansingburgh 5hrs per week

Experience:
