Duties
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files efficiently using document management systems such as Clio; ensure all records are accurate, organized, and accessible.
- Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and client meetings by compiling case materials and summaries.
- Assist with client communication by scheduling interviews, gathering information through interviewing techniques, and maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while maintaining compliance with procedural laws across various jurisdictions.
- Coordinate project management tasks related to multiple cases or practice areas to ensure timely progression and adherence to deadlines.
- Review documents for procedural compliance and assist in filing court documents accurately within required timelines.
- Provide executive administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, and correspondence handling to ensure smooth office operations.
Requirements
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, criminal law, family law & civil litigation support.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is essential.
- Experience with legal case management software such as Clio; ability to adapt quickly to new systems is highly valued.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading accuracy is critical.
- Effective client communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette to support attorney-client interactions.
- Knowledge of procedural laws across various jurisdictions; experience handling document review and legal administrative tasks is preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high ethical standards.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and support litigation processes effectively.
