Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician to join our facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across various building types. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, ventilation units, and related equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify issues early and perform preventive maintenance to extend system lifespan.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose system faults accurately.
- Perform electrical work related to HVAC systems such as wiring, circuit testing, and electrical equipment repair using tools like ohmmeters.
- Repair plumbing systems associated with HVAC units including piping, drainage, and water supply components.
- Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently for installation and repair tasks; weld metal components when necessary.
- Maintain facilities equipment including mechanical systems, electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, and building interior elements such as painting and carpentry repairs.
- Supervise or lead maintenance teams on complex projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, or mechanical upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by adhering to protocols for electrical work, welding procedures, and facility maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with building occupants or clients regarding system issues or ongoing repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in HVAC system repair and maintenance within commercial or residential settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiar with schematics and technical diagrams.
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as building interior maintenance tasks such as painting and carpentry.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and electrical testing devices like ohmmeters.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Knowledge of facilities equipment maintenance including HVAC systems, electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, and MRO (maintenance, repair & operations).
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and interpret building plans for effective repairs.
- Supervising or leadership experience preferred; capable of guiding team members through complex tasks safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and clients effectively.

Pay: $31.18 - $37.55 per hour
