Duties
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, incorporating curriculum development best practices.
- Teach individual and group lessons in various musical instruments, voice, or music theory, adapting methods to meet student needs.
- Manage classroom environments effectively to promote respectful behavior, focus, and active participation through strong classroom management skills.
- Work with children and students of all ages, including those in early childhood education or special education settings, ensuring inclusive teaching approaches.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities such as choir rehearsals, band practices, or musical theater productions to enhance student engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching music across different age groups with a solid background in classroom experience and early childhood education.
- Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and behavior management to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Ability to work effectively with children in a special education setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and preschool experience is preferred for working with young children.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and working with students from diverse backgrounds is essential.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
