Job Title: Truck Foreman / Dispatcher

Pay: $20-$25 starting; based on experience
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Truck Foreman / Dispatcher to join our growing team here at Crumb Construction. This position is responsible for coordinating daily trucking operations, dispatching drivers and equipment, managing schedules, and ensuring trucks operate safely. The ideal candidate has experience in heavy truck mechanics, good with technology, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch dump truck drives, and sub-contractors as needed.
- Coordinate daily trucking needs with project managers, superintendents, and foremen.
- Monitor truck locations, productivity, and job progress throughout the day.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, equipment records, and driver schedules.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Assist with planning routes and adjusting schedules as project needs/weather changes.
- Communicate with drivers, vendors, and customers to resolve scheduling issues.
- Monitor equipment maintenance needs and coordinate repairs as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction dispatching, trucking, or field supervision.
- Knowledge of heavy civil, grading, utility, or site development operations preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems, including diesel engines, air brake systems, transmissions, suspension, steering, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Familiar with diagnosing basic mechanical issues, performing routine inspections, and understanding DOT safety requirements.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty truck components, maintenance schedules, and safe equipment operation.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with dispatch software, GPS tracking, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
