Night Shift – 12-hour rotating schedule (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Automation Technician for night shift to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in industrial automation, robotics, and electrical systems, with a focus on maintaining and troubleshooting complex automated equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, including Fanuc robotic systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and human-machine interface (HMI) configurations, ensuring seamless production operations during overnight hours. The Senior Automation Technician will play a critical role in supporting lean manufacturing initiatives, maintaining compliance with CGMP standards, and driving continuous improvement in automation processes.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems, including ladder logic programming and industrial controls to ensure optimal operation of manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain and repair Fanuc robotic systems and other industrial robotic systems, performing root cause analysis to resolve automation issues efficiently.
- Develop and modify HMI systems for effective operator interface, ensuring user-friendly controls and real-time data monitoring.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to diagnose system faults accurately.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems, mechanical components, and vision inspection systems to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on robotics engineering projects, including robot programming and integration within manufacturing processes.
- Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for schematic design, tooling layouts, and system modifications as needed.
- Perform troubleshooting of distributed control systems (DCS) and industrial networks to maintain robust communication across automation components.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and implementing automation solutions aligned with CGMP standards.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications thoroughly for compliance and future reference.
Skills
- Extensive experience with Fanuc robotic systems and industrial robotic programming.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic (LD), along with PLC troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, schematics reading, and interpretation of technical diagrams.
- Familiarity with human-machine interface (HMI) configuration and industrial controls integration.
- Practical understanding of lean manufacturing principles and CGMP compliance within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is advantageous.
- Skilled in root cause analysis, troubleshooting industrial equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Knowledge of vision inspection systems, tooling setups, machining processes, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role focused on automation solutions.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise to support comprehensive system diagnostics.
