What You'll Do
As our MDS Nurse, you'll serve as a clinical leader responsible for ensuring accurate resident assessments, quality documentation, regulatory compliance, and individualized care planning. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to help drive positive clinical outcomes while supporting reimbursement accuracy.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and complete comprehensive MDS assessments in accordance with CMS guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation that reflects each resident's clinical condition.
- Develop and update individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate and mentor nursing staff on MDS documentation, assessment requirements, and ADL documentation.
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Complete Quality Assurance audits and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, residents, and families to ensure exceptional care.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and family members as appropriate.
- Assist with medication administration and treatments as needed.
- Support the Director of Nursing with clinical compliance and documentation initiatives.
- Perform other duties that support outstanding resident care.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of ID with a current license in good standing.
- Has previous MDS/RAI experience (preferred but not required).
- Has strong assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
- Works well independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Leads with compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to person-centered care.
Experience Preferred
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience
- MDS/RAI assessment experience
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and CMS regulations
- Experience with care planning and Quality Assurance processes
