Pittsburgh Tutor is seeking middle and high school math tutors for the '26/'27 school year, starting 8/31/26. A firm commitment for the duration of the school year is required. Only candidates looking to work in-person should apply. Sessions take place at our office in Regent Square and over Zoom. Potential for employment to extend into summer.
Weekday after-school hours. Saturday availability is a plus, but not required. Individual tutors determine exact availability (days and hours).
Candidates must have formal teaching experience in mathematics. Comfortability with parents and students, and confidence in written and verbal communication are musts. Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree (at minimum). Punctuality and dependability are of paramount importance.
Sessions are one-on-one. Hours depend on client need. This is supplemental pay.
All candidates must have (or be willing to obtain) current Pennsylvania clearances (child abuse, FBI fingerprinting, criminal history check).
Pay: $30.00 per hour
