Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Welder - Structural to join our dynamic fabrication & erecting team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding and fabrication of structural metal components used in construction and manufacturing projects. Your expertise will help ensure the integrity, safety, and durability of large-scale structures, stairs,railing miscellaneous metals .This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and mechanical knowledge to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures.
- Perform structural welding using various techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding, adhering to AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
- Measure and mark metal materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication.
- Set up and operate power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and structural components.
- Execute welding tasks on construction sites or in fabrication shops while following strict safety protocols, including rigging, pipe threading, and handling heavy metal materials.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or welding processes and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly handling tools, equipment, and materials while complying with safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, ensuring all components fit accurately according to schematics and technical drawings.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience with a solid understanding of structural steel fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including FCAW, MIG, TIG, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding; certification from AWS preferred.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and interpret technical instructions accurately.
- Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with shop math knowledge for precise measurements and calculations.
- Experience operating rigging equipment, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding practices.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols including rigging procedures and forklift operation when necessary.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
