Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors and helping keep your community beautiful? We’re looking for a dedicated, hands-on team player to join us as a Tree & Landscape Laborer with the City of Medford’s Parks & Recreation Department.
In this role, you'll assist the City Arborist with maintaining our vibrant urban forest, pruning, planting, chipping, watering, and caring for trees across our city parks and right-of-way areas. You'll operate equipment like mowers, chippers, and stump grinders, and play a key part in keeping our parks clean, safe, and welcoming.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in outdoor maintenance. If you’ve got experience in tree care or landscape maintenance, we want to hear from you!
Required Education and Experience:

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and

Must be 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications:-
Experience with tree pruning

Experience running chainsaws and woodchippers
Available Schedule:

Monday - Wednesday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The anticipated hiring range for the Tree and Landscape Laborer position is $18.36 (first step) to $19.28 or $20.24 (second or third step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
