Job Summary

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product demonstrations and upselling opportunities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Manage inventory by receiving shipments, conducting stock counts, and updating stock records efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person while maintaining proper phone etiquette
- Support sales goals through proactive upselling and promoting special offers or new products
- Ensure the sales area is clean, organized, and inviting at all times to enhance the shopping experience
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Supervising experience is a plus; ability to oversee stock organization or assist in training new team members
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly phone etiquette and customer engagement
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, stocking procedures, and retail sales transactions will set you apart
- Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory management, and sales calculations are essential
