Position Title: Intake Specialist
Reports To: Admissions Director

Position Summary
The Intake Specialist is responsible for managing the admission and intake process for clients entering Pearson Hall. This position ensures that all required documentation is completed accurately and efficiently while providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for individuals seeking treatment.
Key Responsibilities Admissions & Intake
- Conduct intake screenings and gather client information for admission
- Assist with completing intake paperwork and required documentation
- Verify client information and ensure all forms are completed accurately
- Coordinate admissions with clinical and medical staff
- Schedule assessments and admissions appointments
Client Interaction
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients and families seeking services
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services and admissions
- Provide clear and accurate information about program requirements and services
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and compassionate demeanor
Medical Records & Documentation
- Maintain organized and confidential client records
- File and manage intake paperwork in accordance with agency policies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and ADMH standards
Administrative Support
- Assist the Admissions Director with daily intake operations
- Support the admissions team with scheduling, coordination, and follow-up
- Cover intake duties as needed to ensure continuous workflow
Qualifications
- Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in intake, admissions, medical records, or a related field
- Preferred:
- Experience in substance abuse or mental health treatment settings
- Knowledge of intake procedures and documentation standards

Working Conditions
- Office setting within a residential treatment facility
- May require occasional extended hours based on admissions needs

- Participate in staff meetings and required trainings
- Support the mission of ADATC in providing quality care and access to treatment
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
