About the Role
As the Restaurant Operations Manager, you will report to the General Manager & Owners.
You will be balancing front-of-house and back-of-house operations to maximize efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. You will handle everything from inventory control to budget management and compliance.
This is a unique position that partners closely with the General Manager to support operational excellence, financial performance, team effectiveness, and a consistent guest experience across the business. The role requires a highly organized, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance operational priorities with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, labor costs, food costs, and operational expenses to support profitability goals.
- Analyze operational and financial reports, identify trends, and implement cost-control measures to meet business targets.
- Pull and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to sales, labor, inventory, food cost, waste, and performance metrics to support operational decision-making.
- Support menu pricing reviews, cost analysis, and profitability recommendations in partnership with leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, products, and service agreements.
- Help identify operational gaps and proactively problem-solve to improve workflows, service delivery, and day-to-day operations.
- Hold team members accountable for role responsibilities, including inventory management, stocking, food handling, and operational standards.
- Provide ongoing feedback, and performance support to maintain high standards and employee engagement.
- Ensure consistent execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for opening/closing procedures, food preparation, cleanliness, safety, and operational consistency.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
- Act as a hands-on problem solver, resolving operational issues quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and service trends to proactively address concerns and improve the customer experience.
- Oversee inventory levels for food, beverage, frozen goods, and operational supplies to minimize shortages, waste, and over-ordering.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and partner with managers to ensure products are properly stocked and rotated.
- Review product pricing, inventory usage, and food cost trends to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost control.
- Help ensure accountability for inventory management processes and operational readiness.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in hospitality, restaurant, food & beverage, or high-volume customer service environments preferred
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to analyze reports, identify issues, and support practical solutions
- Highly organized, structured, and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
- Strong ability to multitask and problem-solve in real time
- Comfortable pulling, reviewing, and interpreting operational and financial reports
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while partnering closely with leadership
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 25–50 pounds (e.g., glass trays, kegs, supplies), with or without assistance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining awareness of surroundings
- Ability to safely navigate crowded or confined spaces, including dining and kitchen areas
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members in a noisy environment
