Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and sanitizing bathrooms to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces regularly.
- Handle laundry duties efficiently by washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels to support overall hotel operations.
- Conduct floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, and deep cleaning of various flooring types to uphold safety and aesthetic standards.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and amenities in guest rooms and public spaces to enhance guest comfort.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
- Collaborate with housekeeping management to report maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly for swift resolution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles within hotels or similar hospitality settings is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care methods like stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing floors.
- Familiarity with janitorial equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and steam cleaners.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Prior experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management is a plus but not required.
