We are seeking a talented CNC Machine Operator to join our production facility in Enumclaw, WA. You will be tasked with the setup and operation of horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers to manufacture precise aerospace parts. Success in this role demands extreme precision, a sharp eye for detail, and strict compliance with safety and quality protocols. This is a contract-to-hire role offering significant long-term career advancement within the aerospace sector.
Pay and Schedule:
Compensation ranges from $28 to $40 per hour, depending on your experience. We operate Monday through Friday with two shifts available: the day shift running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and the swing shift from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The position is based in Enumclaw, WA.
Core Responsibilities-
Configure and run multi-axis CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers.

Demonstrate proficiency in navigating and utilizing X, Y, and Z axes.

Analyze technical aerospace blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T documentation.

Utilize precision measurement tools like height gauges, micrometers, and calipers to ensure part accuracy.

Validate tooling and fixture alignment, flatness, and overall setup precision.

Optimize machine output by adjusting speeds, feeds, and tooling as necessary.

Identify operational irregularities and resolve issues through program modifications.

Conduct routine equipment inspections and document maintenance needs.

Manage the loading and unloading of raw materials using manual methods or overhead cranes.

Swap out cutting tools to help uphold high safety and quality standards.

Upload CNC programs and manage control inputs as required.

Execute deburring, rework, and necessary fixture maintenance.

Oversee coolant system health to ensure optimal machine performance.

Contribute to operational efficiency by supporting scrap reduction and quality improvement initiatives.

Provide guidance and training to incoming team members.

Promote a secure workplace by adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Complete other tasks as directed by management.
Required Qualifications-
Possession of a GED or high school diploma.

Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC machines within precision manufacturing or aerospace.

Proven background working with 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machining centers.

Expertise in interpreting intricate blueprints and GD&T specifications.

Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to perform conversions and work with fractions.

Demonstrated ability to resolve program errors and machining malfunctions.

A consistent and stable professional work history.

Eligibility to meet ITAR standards as a U.S. Person.
Preferred Qualifications-
Technical certification or vocational schooling in manufacturing or machining.

Direct experience producing components with extremely tight aerospace tolerances.

Competency in operating material handling equipment like forklifts or cranes.

Prior experience in a mentorship or operator training capacity.
