Program Manager, Family Engagement

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Program Manager to lead a portfolio of programs that connect families to Jewish life and strengthen community engagement.
This role is about more than coordinating events, it is about creating meaningful experiences, building lasting relationships, and developing programs that inspire participation and foster a sense of belonging. Through innovative programming, strategic partnerships, and personalized outreach, you will help families connect with one another, engage with the Federation, and build lifelong connections to the Jewish community.
As a Program Manager, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of family engagement and Federation programs serving families throughout our community. Working collaboratively across the organization and with community partners, you will ensure programs are thoughtfully planned, effectively executed, impactful, and aligned with the Federation’s mission and strategic priorities.
Role and Impact
As our Program Manager, you will serve as both a program leader and community connector. You will develop and implement engaging initiatives, cultivate partnerships throughout South Palm Beach County, and create opportunities for families to experience Jewish life in meaningful and accessible ways.
Success in this role requires strong program management skills, relationship-building expertise, creativity, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a portfolio of family engagement programs and initiatives.
- Develop annual program plans, calendars, timelines, and measurable goals aligned with organizational priorities.
- Ensure programs are delivered efficiently, effectively, and within budget.
- Evaluate program participation, outcomes, and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations for assigned programs, including PJ Library.
Family & Community Engagement
- Build meaningful relationships with families through outreach, engagement, and exceptional customer service.
- Develop strategies that increase participation and foster long-term connections to the Federation and Jewish community.
- Create welcoming experiences that encourage families to engage with one another and participate in Jewish life.
- Represent the Federation at community events and outreach opportunities.
- Identify new opportunities to engage families throughout South Palm Beach County.
Partnership Development
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with synagogues, schools, preschools, municipalities, agencies, and community organizations.
- Partner with internal departments to deliver integrated programming and community-wide initiatives.
- Recruit, support, and recognize volunteers who assist with family engagement programs.
- Build strategic partnerships that expand the Federation's reach and impact.
Marketing & Communications
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to promote programs and increase awareness and participation.
- Assist with newsletters, digital communications, social media, and promotional materials.
- Support outreach initiatives that welcome new families into the Federation community.
Operations & Administration
- Manage registrations, participant records, CRM data, and administrative functions for assigned programs.
- Coordinate event logistics, vendors, contracts, supplies, and program materials.
- Assist with budgets, purchasing, invoices, grant reporting, and program documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports that measure program success.
- Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned.
Thrive Here If You Have
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Education, Communications, Business, Social Work, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in program management, community engagement, nonprofit operations, or relationship management.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience developing partnerships with community organizations and volunteers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
- Knowledge of Jewish traditions and community life, or enthusiasm for learning.
- Experience managing grant-funded programs is a plus.
