Position Overview
The Part-Time Physical Education Teacher will lead engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education classes for students in PreK through Grade 8. The role includes designing and implementing a program that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong wellness habits.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality physical education instruction for students PreK–8
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and active learning environment
- Teach fundamental movement skills, sports, and fitness concepts
- Promote teamwork, cooperation, and good sportsmanship
- Ensure student safety during all physical activities
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and events
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field (required)
- Teaching experience with elementary school students preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying ages and abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture
Schedule & Compensation
- 6 hours per week (schedule to be determined)
- $40–$42 per hour, based on experience
