Overview
Branch Operations
- Assist the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operation of the credit union.
- Ensure the branch opens and closes according to established procedures.
- Monitor daily transactions and ensure they are processed accurately.
- Ensure staff follow credit union policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist with balancing the branch, cash drawers, vault, and cash controls.
- Review daily reports and resolve operational discrepancies.
- Assist with supervising, training, and coaching employees.
- Provide guidance to Member Service Representatives and other branch staff.
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to work schedules.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
- Help address employee performance issues and recommend corrective action when appropriate.
- Serve as the acting Branch Manager when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
- Provide excellent service to members and resolve escalated member concerns.
- Open and close accounts and assist with more complex member transactions.
- Explain credit union products and services to members.
- Assist members with loans, deposits, transfers, account changes, and other services.
- Identify opportunities to increase membership and product usage.
- Process, book, and disburse consumer loan applications.
- Ensure loan documentation is complete and accurate. (Including title work).
- Assist with loan payments, payoffs, refinances, and related member requests.
- Monitor delinquent accounts and assist with collection activities as assigned.
- Follow lending policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure employees follow BSA/AML, OFAC, CTR, CIP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist with compliance reviews and audits.
- Ensure required documentation is maintained accurately.
- Monitor transactions for unusual or potentially suspicious activity and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Assist with implementing corrective actions resulting from audits or examinations.
- Maintain member confidentiality and protect sensitive financial information.
Cash & Financial Controls
- Monitor cash levels and ensure proper cash-handling procedures are followed.
- Review cash differences and investigate overages or shortages.
- Assist with vault and cash replenishment procedures.
- Ensure dual-control procedures are followed when required.
- Review transaction activity for accuracy and unusual activity.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in a business related field and five years management and lending experience in a credit union or banking environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Proven ability to motivate individuals and teams.
- Previous sales experience in the financial services area.
- Successful track record of setting, then meeting or exceeding, individual and team objectives.
- Excellent presentation and communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and
Excel preferred.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
