SCHEDULE:
40 hours/week; Monday -Friday; 8 AM-5 PM
SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Site/Hospitality Manager, performs related duties in the daily operations of the hospitality and events services for the client including, but not limited to, the coordination of the catering and planning of conferences, events and meetings, setting up and breaking down scheduled events, at all times striving to meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of the customer’s employees in their requests. Consistently works in an enthusiastic, positive, motivated, professional, detail and deadline-oriented manner, with an ongoing commitment to increasing customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide superior customer service to firms representatives who engage us to assist with the planning of their event and ordering of food by communicating effectively through incoming and outgoing phone calls, emails, and face to face meetings
- Manage meeting details of assigned programs through accurate and effective review of an event that has been scheduled in Maptician.
- Manage relationship with the firms Event Planners or Secretaries to insure you understand their needs for any specific event
- Negotiate appropriate pricing through vendors (food and beverage, etc) to ensure firm and conference center rules are strictly followed
- Work with food and beverage vendors to ensure appropriate menu selections, headcount and final bill are accurate and receipts are received timely
- Manage all costs, and documentation of costs, associated with meetings, including food and beverage, as well as any other miscellaneous costs
- Work in the Kitchen/Conference Center with the rest of the Hospitality Staff to ensure all meetings are set up and broken down for supported client(s) within specified timeframes. This position is hands-on and it includes creating décor, food/beverage presentation and breaking down the meeting after it has ended
- Escalate issues appropriately to management, and provide support during escalation investigations.
- Attend regular training sessions in support of systems, policies, procedures and professional development when scheduled
- Keep current on all client Conference Room and firm Event rules to ensure meetings are compliant
- Support our client's initiatives and committees (workload permitting)
- Provide feedback and ideas for process enhancements and client satisfaction
- Performs other related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent and previous multiple years’ experience in catering, hospitality and event coordinating are required.
- At least two years’ experience working in the food industry, serving, ordering, quality checking orders and setting up breakfasts, luncheons and dinners
- Food Handlers card is preferred however if you do not have one you will have training set up for you. Food Handlers card is required to continue to work in our Servery.
- Must have a working knowledge of Restaurants and Caterers in the DFW area. Contacts within these organizations will be a plus.
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
