Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Barbers to lead and inspire aspiring barbers in mastering the art and science of barbering. In this role, you will deliver engaging classroom instruction, demonstrate advanced haircutting and grooming techniques, and ensure students gain comprehensive knowledge of both practical skills and theoretical concepts. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of professional barbers, emphasizing safety, hygiene, and industry best practices. We will train you to take the state exam to become licensed with the State of Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive lessons on barbering techniques, including haircutting, styling, shaving, and grooming procedures.
- Incorporate specialized topics such as hair coloring, hair extensions, facial treatments, eyelash extensions, body waxing, and esthetic laser treatments into curriculum plans.
- Teach foundational knowledge in anatomy relevant to barbering and aesthetic treatments to enhance students’ understanding of scalp health, skin care, and body structures.
- Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with industry standards and certification requirements while adapting to diverse learning styles.
- Supervise practical training sessions in a classroom or salon setting, providing constructive feedback to improve student skills.
- Ensure all safety protocols, hygiene standards, and legal regulations are strictly followed during instruction and demonstrations.
- Stay current with industry trends by continuously updating curriculum content related to cosmetology, dermabrasion, deep tissue massage, facials, makeup application, nail care, and other aesthetic treatments.
Experience
- Proven expertise in barbering with a strong portfolio demonstrating advanced skills in haircutting, styling, shaving, and grooming.
- 2+ Years of experience as a licensed registered barber. Currently hold a barber license in Minnesota.
- Prior classroom experience or experience teaching adult learners in cosmetology or barbering programs is a bonus.
- Knowledge of anatomy as it pertains to hair growth cycles, skin health, facial structures, and body mechanics.
- Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for adult education settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate students while maintaining an engaging learning environment.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
