About the Role
My Life Services is hiring a compassionate and reliable male Independent Living Skills (ILS) Trainer to provide one-on-one support to adults with developmental disabilities throughout Central/North Orange County (Santa Ana, Orange, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Tustin, Westminster, Costa Mesa, and surrounding areas).
This position is currently part-time, with a set schedule of Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM. We're specifically seeking a male, bilingual (Spanish/English) candidate to meet the needs of the individual receiving services. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to increase hours and build a larger caseload over time if desired.
As an ILS Trainer, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one instruction to help clients build confidence and independence in their daily lives. This includes guiding them through real-world activities at home and in the community—from cooking and budgeting to scheduling appointments and navigating public transportation.
What You'll Do
You'll work one-on-one with clients, teaching and reinforcing skills such as:
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Grocery shopping and budgeting
- Scheduling and attending medical appointments
- Money management and financial literacy
- Transportation and community safety
- Building independence through individualized goals
Your support will help clients reach their personal goals while developing the skills needed to live as independently as possible.

What We're Looking For
- Male staff member (to meet participant support needs)
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Experience in caregiving, education, behavioral support, or a related field preferred
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and an excellent communicator
- Comfortable working independently and managing your schedule
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required

- Additional hours may become available for candidates interested in growing their schedule.
