Before and After Care Driver/Teacher
Oasis Early Child Learning Center is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Before- and After-Care Teacher and driver to help transport and supervise school-age children. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and can provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment before and after school and is willing to work a split-shift.
Split-Shift Schedule/Hours
Monday through Friday
Before School Program:** 6:00 AM–8:00 AM
After School Program:** 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
Hours may vary slightly depending on school schedules and transportation needs. This is a split-shift position requiring the employee to work the morning shift and return for the afternoon shift.
Responsibilities:
* Safely transport children to and from designated schools using the Learning Center's vehicle.
* Greet children and supervise morning arrivals.
* Lead age-appropriate activities, including crafts, sports, games, and group activities.
* Help students with homework and reading assignments.
* Supervise children indoors and outdoors.
* Maintain accurate attendance and transportation records.
* Assist with snacks and maintain a clean, organized environment.
* Communicate professionally with parents regarding daily updates.
* Follow all childcare licensing, transportation, and safety procedures.
* Maintain a positive, patient, and respectful attitude with children, families, and coworkers.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
* Previous experience working with children in a daycare, school, church, camp, or after-school setting preferred.
* Ability to pass a background check and driving-record check.
* CPR and First Aid certification required after hire; training will be provided.
* Dependable transportation and punctual attendance.
* Ability to safely supervise and manage a group of school-age children.
* Must be patient, responsible, energetic, and safety-conscious.
