Position: Primary Therapist
Location: Winchester, Massachusetts
Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a minimum of Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or health-related field. Additional licensure and certification preferred.
Certifications: LICSW, LMHC, LADC-I, PsyD
As a Primary Therapist at Insight Recovery Mental Health, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting individuals grappling with mental health and substance use disorders. You'll serve as a cornerstone in our client care framework, working closely with our Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor.
Your responsibilities will include conducting individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Additionally, you'll actively participate in collaborative efforts with the treatment team to develop comprehensive master treatment plans and assist in facilitating smooth discharge processes.
Specific Duties:
- Actively participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan meetings.
- Share pertinent information with the team obtained from the client's family or other sources throughout the program.
- Attend daily and weekly staffing meetings as per schedule.
- Evaluate the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients/families (one hour per week per client).
- Document the assessment of client progress/regress and interventions provided in the medical record on an ongoing basis.
- Conduct chart audits of internal caseloads weekly.
- Recognize, respond to, and assist in psychiatric crisis situations and provide necessary interventions.
- Respond to and assist in medical emergency situations as directed and needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and physicians.
- Attend and actively participate in monthly Program Staff meetings as scheduled.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Addictions, or related field.
- LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LADC-I
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work with an Electronic Medical Record (Kipu).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization.
- Understands the need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources, and all other contacts.
- Exhibits excellent customer relation skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, residents, visitors, families, and referral sources.
- Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of case management for dual diagnosis patients.
