Senior Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury (Plaintiff)
The Law Offices of Jacob Emrani is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our growing litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with extensive plaintiff personal injury litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and capable of managing a litigation caseload from the filing of a complaint through trial while providing exceptional support to our attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume personal injury litigation caseload from inception through trial.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, notices, and other litigation documents.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of written discovery, including drafting, responding, and organizing discovery responses.
- Prepare deposition notices, subpoenas, and deposition summaries.
- Coordinate expert witness retention and scheduling.
- Prepare trial binders, exhibit lists, witness lists, jury instructions, and other trial-related materials.
- Maintain litigation calendars and monitor all court deadlines.
- File documents electronically with California state and federal courts.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, medical providers, and court personnel.
- Review and organize medical records, billing records, and other case-related documents.
- Assist attorneys with case strategy, settlement preparation, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
- Maintain accurate case management records and ensure compliance with firm procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience required.
- California litigation experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure, court rules, and litigation procedures.
- Experience with electronic filing in California courts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Experience with case management software is strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professional demeanor and strong client service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trial preparation experience.
- Experience preparing mediation briefs and settlement packages.
- Familiarity with expert discovery and coordinating medical experts.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Pay: $66,808.45 - $100,000.00 per year
